5 Basics (for Windows)

5.5.3 Status Icons

The status icons in the status bar provide information about your device’s status, such as the remaining
battery, data, and much more.

Icon

Description

Indicates that your device is connected to an EDGE network.

Indicates that your device is connected to a GPRS network.

Indicates that your device is connected to a 3G network.

Indicates that your device is connected to a 4G network.

Indicates that your device is connected to an HSDPA/HSUPA network.

Indicates that your device is connected to an HSPA+/DC-HSDPA network.

Indicates the battery power level.

Indicates that the battery is charging.

Indicates that the battery saver mode in on.

Indicates that the battery power or state of the battery is not currently known.

Indicates that vibrate mode is active.

Indicates that silent mode is active.

Indicates that your device is roaming and is not using your regular cellular network.

Indicates that an app is accessing your device’s current location information.

Other than the icons described in the table above, there are various other notifications and status
icons that are displayed on the status bar depending on the situation.

When the icons on the status bar are hidden, tap the status bar on the screen to display icons
temporarily.

The appearance of icons may vary depending on your region or network service provider.
