This

installation guide

provides general instructions for installing, configuring, and

using the Blue Coat SG810.

This

chapter

explains how to unpack the SG810, install it in an equipment rack,

insert the disk drives, connect the cables, and power on.

Important:

Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product and
included in this manual.

Unpacking an SG810

When you receive and unpack the SG810, verify that the package contains the
following items:

• Blue Coat SG810 Series Appliance

• AC Power cord

• Quick Start Guide

• Disk drives and/or disk drive spacers (up

to three)

• Null-modem serial cable

• Cable Management Support
