2.8 Trigger Processing

This section describes how the trigger circuit works. The trigger is used to initiate a
vertical operation (for example, capturing one frame). There are three possible exter-
nal hardware inputs to the trigger circuit and a software input. Assertion of the trigger
can be delayed by up to 8192 lines (granularity is 8 lines). This delay works only with
the external hardware trigger. Figure 2-11 illustrates the trigger circuit.
