9.3 The Jumpers and Switches
On the Karbon-CL main board there are four jumper fields that are user configurable,
JP2, JP3, JP4 and JP5 and two that are not, JP10 and JP11. Figure 9-3 shows the loca-
tions of these jumpers and switches. On the Karbon-CL auxiliary board, ther are two
jumper fields, JP1 and JP2, which are also not user configurable and that have the
same functionality JP10 and JP11 on the main board. See Figure 9-2 for the location
of these jumpers.
9.3.1 Jumpers
Figure 9-3 shows the detailed structure of the jumpers.
Figure 9-3 Karbon-CL Jumpers
Jumper fields JP2, JP3, JP4 and JP5 control the configuration of the open collector
GPOUT5 and GPOUT6. See Section 7.5.1 on GPOUT5 and GPOUT6 configuration.
Jumper fields JP10 and JP11 on the main board and JP1 and JP2 on the auxiliar
board are not user configurable. They are set at the factory in conjunction with FLASH
programmable logic, when the board is configured as a FULL or DUAL model. The
user should not change the factory configuration of these jumpers as it will result in
malfunction of the board. The jumpers setting will disagree with the on-board FLASH
logic.
