Mode Menu
Mode
menu
offers
menu
items
for
configuring
and
operating
the
Standard
Tracking
Mode.
Start Free Run —
Starts
an
acquisition.
Quick Trigger —
Starts
an
acquisition
based
on
an
event
trigger.
Stop Acquisition —
Stops
data
acquisition.
Halt Measurement —
Stops
the
receiver
measurement
process
for
the
active
mode.
Read-only Mode —
Only
one
computer
should
be
in
control
of
the
BDS
Cal
Cart
receiver.
When
a
second
computer
is
connected
to
the
BDS
receiver,
Read
‐
Only
mode
should
be
selected
on
one
of
the
computers.
Switch To —
Not
used
for
BDS
Cal
Cart
Alerts —
Displays
the
Alerts
dialog
box
which
contains
alerts
generated
by
the
receiver,
informing
the
user
of
system
errors.
Gain Ctrl —
Displays
the
“Gain
Control”
dialog
box,
providing
control
of
the
receiver
attenuator
settings.
Options... —
Displays
the
Standard
Tracking
Mode
Configuration
dialog
box.

view
menu
offers

view

the
active
document
and
controlling
the
tool
bars
and
Status
Bar.
Table —
Displays
the
document
data
in
tabular
format.
Time Plot —
Displays
the
document
data
plotted
on
a
graph
over
time.
Waveform —
Shows
the
most
recent
dataset
as
a
reconstructed
waveform.
Note:
Relative
phase
information
must
be
requested
to
display
data
in
this
view.
Relative
phase
is
requested
by
selecting
the
“Enable
relative
phase
measurements”
option
in
the
Standard
Tracking
Mode
options.
Smith Chart —
Displays
the
active
document
data
in
a
Smith
Chart.
Dataset —
Displays
the
“Dataset
Number”
dialog,
allowing
the
user
to
show
data
for
a
single
measurement.
Toolbars —
Display
or
hide
the
various
toolbars.
Status Bar —
Display
or
hide
the
main
status
bar
on
the
document.
Options —
Launch
the
“View
Options”
dialog
(see
).
Window Menu
The
window
menu
presents
standard
Windows
menu
options.
New Window —
Creates
a
new
View
window
from
the
active
window.
Cascade —
Aligns
windows
on
top
of
one
another.
Tile —
Aligns
windows
in
a
tile
pattern
so
that
no
windows
overlap.
Arrange Icons —
Not
Used
for
the
BDS
Cal
Cart
Active Window —
List
of
all
open
documents
is
displayed,
a
check
mark
indicates
the
active
document
window.
Tools Menu
Provides
some
supplemental
applets.
Help Menu
About —
Displays
the
“About”
dialog,
showing
the
application
version
and
date
information.
