13.4 Using the Wireless Repeater
If there are issues with getting a reliable
signal between the lectern and the main unit a
wireless repeater can be used. This is a
repeater box containing the wireless
transmitter/receiver which is on the end of a
20m cable.
The cable is plugged into the lectern and the
box can then be located nearer to the ProteQ
base unit allowing a better signal.
After plugging the repeater box in, go to the
administration screen and check the ‘Use
Repeater’ box. Press the save icon
Then turn the lectern power off and on.
Then pair the lectern to the ProteQ base unit
as described in Section 13.2.
If cycles without the repeater are required it
is necessary to uncheck the ‘Use repeater’
box, save, power cycle and pair the lectern to
the ProteQ base unit again as Section 13.2.
