Before reassembling the engine, a series of

important controls must be carried out to

ensure correct functioning of the engine.

The bearings must be replaced if they play

or get jammed during rotation. It is howe-

ver recommended to refer to the periodical

maintenance table.

In order to insert the bearings in the cran-

kcase halves, bring the crankcase halves to a

temperature of 150°C and keep them at that

temperature for 20 minutes.

Place the crankcase halves on a large surfa-

ce where their whole seal surface can rest.

When the bearings cool off, they drop into

their seats on their own.
