Additional information:
With fewer movements expected in the monitored area (e.g. desktop monitoring),
the turn-off-off delay should be selected longer to prevent premature switching
off of the lights.
A turn-off delay of 10 minutes is recommended as a standard value
(see fig. O, page 41).
Cause
Sources of interference in the field of
detection
Remedy
See „Fitting instructions“ on page 32.
Load switches off briefly and then on again
Cause
After turn-off, the ambient brightness
falls below the preset minimum bright-
ness level so that the device switches
on again immediately when move-
ment is detected.
Remedy
Increase the shut-off threshold by
turning the „lux“ potentiometer a little
bit towards the sun symbol.
Load switched on without any noticeable movement detected.
14. Use of extension units (mechanical pushbuttons)
Operation when the load is off
The lighting is switched on. The shut-off delay corresponds to the value adjusted on
the potentiometer, but is at least 2 minutes („Test“ position excepted). Detected
movements will retrigger the shut-off delay for the time adjusted on the potentiometer.
Important:
Brightness evaluation can be deactivated manually, if the brightness is
considered insufficient after switching off.
Pre-condition
The presence detector has shwitched off the lighting due to sufficient external light
(e.g. daylight).
Procedure
Switch the lighting on again from the extension unit within 3 minutes after shut-off.
The lights remain on as long as movements are being detected. If no movements
are detected anymore, the lighting is switched off after the shut-off delay has
elapsed and the brightness evaluation is reactivated.
Operation with the load switched on
The lighting is switched off. Thus, it is possible to deactivate the automatic function
on purpose, for instance, in order to darken a room (slide presentation).
The automatic function is locked for 3 minutes. During this time, the lights can only
be switched on again from the extension unit. Each detected movement restarts the
locking function.
Thererfore, the lighting remains off as long as the presence detector is detecting
movements.
