to the Control panel BPI bus, as

per Figure 7.

Use Shielded cable for the connection: connect one end of the shield to termi-
nal “–” on the Interface, and leave the other end free. Note that the Interface
standby current draw is 90 mA.

The Interface BPI level must match the BPI bus level of the Control panel it is
connected to. Refer to the Control panel manual for the operating level of its
BPI bus. Refer to “Interface BPI Level” in this section for Instructions how to
select the Interface BPI level.

When the Interface is connected to the Control panel BPI bus,  it will simulate
the Input Expanders (refer to “Number  of  Zones on BPI”  in the “PROGRAM-
MING THE INTERFACE” section). It can also simulate key reader no.16  (refer
to  “Keyfobs on  BPI” in the “PROGRAMMING THE INTERFACE” section).  The
devices the Interface simulates cannot be connected to the Control panel.
