2.3.6 Manual Feed Mode
Manual Feed mode allows you to choose how documents are fed to the scanner.

Note
Scanning does not stop if the application does not come with a cancel function. However, pressing
the START/STOP button on the scanner or opening the scanner cover will discontinue scanning.

Manual Feed mode is not used.
On
Documents are fed to the scanner one sheet at a time. Each time a page is
inserted into the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), it is automatically
scanned.
Start Button
When documents are placed in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder),
press the START/STOP button to begin scanning. Once all documents
have been scanned, the scanner returns to the wait status. When placing
another batch of documents in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder),
scanning begins again once the START/STOP button is pressed.
Automatic
When a stack of documents are placed on the scanner, they are
automatically scanned. Once scanning is complete, the scanner returns to
the wait status. When a new stack of documents are placed on the scanner,
they are automatically scanned.
