5.8 Phase Sequence Test
The instrument UNITEST 0100-ELECTROcheck is
capable of testing the phase sequences in systems
with nominal voltages of 175...415 V. The availabil-
ity of the three exterior conductor voltages and the
phase sequence are directly displayed.
The instrument only shows the phase se-
quence once the test leads are connected to the
three phases L1, L2, and L3.
The voltage displays L1, L2, L3 (2,3) show the
respectively present voltage when the voltage
display (3) appears. If one test lead is not con-
nected or if the lead is connected to the N con-
ductor, the respective voltage display (3) does
not appear.
If the test instrument is connected to the UUT
and no voltage indication (3) appears on the
display, then please touch the contact elec-
trode 'PE' (21). If one or several test leads are
connected to the same exterior conductor, the
UUT cannot measure any voltage difference
between the test leads and only shows a volt-
age present when touching the contact elec-
trode. In this case all three voltage indications
appear L1, L2, L3 (2.3).
Performing the measurement
Connect the black test lead to the black socket
'L/L1' (24), the blue test lead to the blue socket
'N/L2' (25), and the green test lead to the green
socket 'PE/L3' (26).
Switch on the UNITEST 0100-ELECTROcheck
using the rotary switch 'Measurement Function'
(19) and set the rotary switch to the ‘phase se-
quence’ measurement function. The test instru-
ment displays the following:

Now connect the test leads to the UUT. For con-
nection, please refer to Figure 5.8.2 or Figure
