If extremely low impedance resistors (> 50 k
Ω
)
are connected, the test instrument also indi-
cates the symbols (14) and (6) as test results.
Performing the Test
Connect the black test lead to the black socket
'L/L1' (24) and the blue test lead to the blue sock-
et 'N / L2' (25).
Switch on the UNITEST 0100-ELECTROcheck
using the rotary switch 'Measurement Function'
(19) and set the rotary switch to the measure-
ment function 'Low Impedance Measurement'.
The test instrument displays the following:
Figure 5.1.1: Instrument ready for operation
Now connect both test leads to the UUT; please
refer to Figure 5.1.2 for connection.
Figure 5.1.2: Low impedance measurement con-
nection
Briefly press the ”Start / on" key (22), the test is
started. During the running test procedure, the
message 'Test…' (11) is displayed; please refer
to Figure 5.1.3..
Figure 5.1.3: Test procedure running
After approx. 1 second, the test is completed
and the instrument displays the test result. The
Telaris 0100-ELECTROcheck works with a limit
value of 1
Ω
. The low impedance resistance
measured is evaluated and directly displayed
as a result (10) or (6) together with the
symbol (14). As additional reference, a green
LED is illuminated behind the LC-display if the
test was successful. The illumination of the red
LED indicates that the test has been unsuc-
cessful.
