As  a  converter  RS232  to  RS422/485  the  following  part  can  be  used  for  example: 
Advantech - ADAM4510

Note 

 

Maximum range of the RS422 connecting cable is 1000 m.  

 

The maximum range depends on various factors and is influenced by the 
components used and external interference. 

 

Connect power supply AC or DC to the universal power supply module. 

 

Set the RS232 interface  on the universal supply module using the dip switch or 
the programming barcode(depending on the version). 

 

Connect shield to terminal.
