Electronic printing pad calibration - unevenness mapping - "MESH BED LEVELLING"
The printer software allows you to adjust the nozzle height during printing according to the pad's unevenness.
However, this unevenness must be measured in advance and stored in the printer's memory. Follow the steps
below.
1.
Heat the pad to 60°C (see pad heating procedure above
)
Wait for the temperature to be reached and continue the menu according to the navigation below.
2.
Start the alignment as follows:
3.
Reinsert the office paper between the nozzle and the pad. However, you are now adjusting the
nozzle's height from the pad. Do not touch the adjusting nuts again!
Adjustments are only made using the buttons
Adjust the nozzle height so that the paper under the nozzle can move freely as you feel it touch
the nozzle. To move to the next point, press the "NEXT POINT" button
4.
Set all 9 control points on the pad as follows.
5.
After point 9, the printer automatically moves to the reference (initial position-HOME) and the
adjustment is complete
6.
In the pad adjustment menu, press the "SAVE" button to save the set values.
The "MESH BED LEVELLING" function is activated by the M420 S1 command, which is included in the printing
programme. We recommend using settings (\ 04_Prusa_config \ BT1.X_PrusaSlicer_config_bundle.ini) for the
slicer that is on the included SD card. You can simply import this setting into PrusaSlicer (instructions in the
readme.txt file). Each generated programme contains a command to run this function. For example, the printer
will level to a height of 3mm and the nozzle's height from the pad will further increase by 0.05mm - this setting
has been tested for a long time and prevents the material from packing onto the nozzle, and therefore cleaner
and higher quality printing.
However, if you do not use this setting, or you are using another slicer, we recommend writing commands in
this form in the script at the beginning of the programme: Otherwise, the balancing
function will not start.
