GRAMMAGE CONTROL
This system allows the automatic adjustment of the glue dosing with the nozzle,
thanks to the speed adjustment of the premelter pump.
The pump of the premelter equipment works within a margin of 0 to 100 r.p.m.
For its command, the control gives an analogical speed signal from 0 to 10
Volts. This signal has to be connected at the external signal of the speed
command of the pump.
The user will only have to introduce the quantity of glue that he would like to
use, this means, the required grammage and the lamination width that he will
work with. With those details, and depending on the speed of the machine, the
control adjusts the turning speed of the pump, to obtain the quantity of glue
programmed before.
This system ensures that, independently from the speed of machine, the nozzle
always gives the glue quantity wished.
The system allows also choosing between two working modes:

MANUAL: In this mode the pump works always at a fixed speed,
programmed by the user. In manual mode, the pump always turns at the
same speed (in r.p.m.), independently from the speed of the machine or
the lamination width.

AUTOMATIC: The grammage control system adjusts automatically the
speed of the pump, according to the glue quantity (grammage) that
wants to be used.

Grammage. In this numeric field, the quantity of glue that you want to
apply, is introduced. It is given in gr/m

. This data is used in automatic
mode
2. Laminating width. Foil width, expressed in mm, to which the glue is
applied with the application nozzle.
3. Pump speed. In this graphic bar, the actual turning speed of the pump of
the premelter is displayed. It is a read-out parameter. AUTOMATIC /
MANUAL selection mode.
