RS-232 Command and Control
An HD6 may be controlled externally using the rear panel RS-232 I/O RJ-45 connector. An external control
system may be directly connected to the HD6 to control either the HD6 or both HD6 and a CT Receiver. For use
in an external RS-232 automation control system, the control device must connect to the RS-232 I/O RJ-45
connector on the back of the HD6. A distilled list of RS-232 commands for use with a default HD6 system setup
is provided on the following pages.
Note: For use with an HD6 Linked to a CT Series Receiver, the external control device must treat the linked pair
as a single CT Receiver device. All RS-232 control shall use the appropriate CT Receiver BKC-DIP commands.
This applies regardless of the fact that the RS-232 control system is connected to the HD6 RS-232 I/O
connector. All BKC-DIP commands shall pass through the HD6 to the linked CT Receiver. The Linked CT
Receiver handles all control of the HD6 through the CT RS-232 Link cable. Complete HD6 BKC-DIP informa-
tion may be found in the HD6 product appendices.
