Tab. 2-1: Light band width
– CCD technology permits simultaneous detection of
multiple edges
– Can be used even over large emitter-receiver distances
(recommended maximum distance: 2 m)
– Data output
Standard version
Two independently configurable
analog output values switchable
as current or voltage output and
additionally three switching
outputs
IO-Link version
Only IO-Link
Tab. 2-2: Data output
– Can be used for precision web edge guiding
– Simultaneous output of diameter and position of
objects
– Distinguishes up to 6 different objects
– Counting the number of objects in the light band
– Operating hours counter
– Display of the maintenance interval

Intended use
Installation
and
startup may only be performed by trained
specialists with basic electrical knowledge.
Qualified personnel are those who can recognize possible
hazards and institute the appropriate safety measures due
to their professional training, knowledge, and experience
as well as their understanding of the relevant conditions
pertaining to the work to be done.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that local safety
regulations are observed.
In particular the operator must take steps to ensure that a
defect in the Light Array is not able to result in hazards to
persons or damage to equipment.
When defects or non-clearable faults occur in the Light
Array, it should be taken out of service and secured
against unauthorized use.
