Recommended Wire Sizes and Protective Devices

This control must be provided with a suitable input power protection device. Use the recommended
fuses or circuit breaker listed on Table 2.1 which follows. Input and output wire size is based on the
use of 75 degree C rated copper conductor wire. The table is specified for NEMA B motors.

Circuit Breaker

3 phase, thermal magnetic.  Equal to GE type THQ or TEB for 230VAC
or GE type TED for 460VAC, and 575VAC.

Fast Action Fuses

Buss KTN on 230VAC or Buss KTS on 460VAC, Buss FRS on
575VAC or equivalent.

Time Delay Fuses

Buss FRN on 230VAC or Buss FRS on 460VAC, 575VAC or equivalent.

NOTE:

ALL  WIRE SIZES BASED ON 75° C COPPER WIRE, 40°C AMBIENT, 3%
LINE IMPEDANCE. HIGHER TEMPERATURE SMALLER GAUGE WIRE MAY
BE USED PER NEC AND LOCAL CODES.
