Starting:
- Apply Parking brake.
- Insert the key in steering cum ignition lock and turn it to ‘ON’ position.
- Ensure all indicators in cluster are ON.
- Confirm that gear indicator is in ‘N’ position in Instrument cluster.
- Press the clutch pedal fully.
- Now crank the engine.
- If the engine does not start, turn the key to off position and try after 2 minutes.
- After engine is started, wait a minute for engine to warmup before engaging gears & driving off.
Caution:
Do not crank the engine for more than 10 seconds continuously as this will drastically drain
the battery. Crank again after 15 sec. Release the key immediately after starting the engine
driving:
- When the engine has started, battery charging and oil pressure lamps should go “OFF”.
- Release parking brake. Parking brake indicator should go “OFF”.
- Depress the Clutch lever.
- Shift into first gear, Neutral indicator in Instrument cluster should change to first gear
- Accelerate slowly and start to release the clutch slowly.
- Carry on accelerating & driving.
- Do not rest your foot on the clutch pedal.
- It will hamper engine power transmission to the gearbox and will also cause accelerated
wear of clutch components.
