If there is danger of freezing, the pump must be drained ahead of time. For this
purpose open the closing cap (582) in order to drain off all liquid. Also drain all
pipes subject to freezing.

In Case of Malfunction
The sealing between the motor and the pump housing is done by means of a
mechanical seal (433). It is normal that a few drops of water seep once in a
while, especially during the break-in period. Depending on the nature of the
water and the duration of operation said mechanical seal may become leaky
after some time. If the water penetrates continuously, replace the complete
mechanical seal (433) by a new one (see 7.5).
In case of malfunction we recommend contacting the pool builder of the
unit.
If ball bearings must be replaced, bearings with C3 air and high-temperature
grease (min. up to 180°C) are to be used!
When restarting the pump, refer to item 6.
8.1 Faults and potential Causes
To establish the fault and its potential cause, please observe the flashing rate
of the red "Error" LED. Depending on the fault type, the LED flashes the corres-
ponding number of times at intervals.
If a fault has occurred, the motor will switch off permanently. Exception with
"undervoltage" fault: In this case, the motor can restart automatically as long as
the voltage is above 209 V for at least 6 seconds.
If a fault has occurred, please switch off the unit and disconnect from the power
supply. In the event of malfunction, please contact your local dealer.
Maintenance and repairs are reserved for qualified individuals and firms.
Note
We recommend fitting a flow monitor in the circulating line, so that in the event
of malfunction in the pool water circuit, an error message can be forwarded. A
prolonged interruption in the pool water circuit can thus be avoided.
