Use sheltering face mask and glasses both having
side shelters.

Use the necessary body protection to protect your
skin.
•
Use hearing and ear corks which are flame resistant
to prevent sparks from getting into your ears.
VOLATILE SPARKS MAY CAUSE
INJURY
During the welding process, some luminescent
material falling off may occur. Hitting may cause
metal becoming volatile.
Lightning from the welding arc process produce intense
visible and invisible lightning which may burn eyes and
skin.
•
Use protective clothing made of a stuff which is
endurable and flame resistant and use feet
protection.
•
Use face protection (helmet or mask) with glasses
bearing the filters with the right colour to project
your eyes and your face. (See Diagram 1.1)
•
Warn the people being near the working point not
to stare directly at the welding arc.
