housing. Lubricate per tag on fan housing after every 2,000-hour interval or every other year
for low usage operation. Use special low temperature grease only.

Check for build-up of dust, dirt, salt residue, debris, or any heavy film on the inside of the
resistor case channels and load wiring. A build-up of salt deposits will require that surfaces
be washed with a mild detergent, then cleaned with a residue free rinse water.

Check inside the low and medium voltage enclosures and input load power bus bar
insulators. Wipe down all conductors, insulators, wire feed through panels, and the interior
of the enclosures with a clean dry cloth. Any grease, oil or soot must be cleaned with an
industrial cleaner which does not leave a solvent behind (i.e. acetone, alcohol).

Clean both medium voltage cabinet screens (located on both sides of storage box) with a
mild detergent and dry with compressed air. Clean screen in top of medium voltage area
(top center of unit on roof). Replace if any are damaged.

Any internal or external rust should be cleaned and repainted.

Do not clean fan blades unless an excessive build-up of salt or soot is obvious. Partially
cleaning a single blade could affect the balance. Only clean if mandatory and then clean all
blades fully, including top and bottom.
7.
Lubricate hinges on enclosure doors and access panel doors with 30 weight, non-detergent
oil or a light grease coating on each pin. Lubricate 1/4 turn latches on access panel doors.
Wipe off excess lubricant.
8.
A hipot test may be performed annually on the medium voltage load wiring, to verify
insulation integrity. Review with factory before conducting test.
