PREPARATION FOR USE
This procedure is intended to be used upon the initial installation of the Load Bank and following
any relocation.

W A R N I N G
The following procedures are to be performed only by qualified
personnel. The Load Bank contains hazardous voltages and rotating
fan blades. Avoid loss of life, severe injury, and Load Bank damage
by following all instructions contained in this manual.
Make certain all sources of power to the Load Bank are disconnected
before proceeding.

1.
Open the twelve access doors and inspect the resistor stack area.
A. Ensure no debris is within the resistor stacks or inside resistor area.
B. Visually inspect interconnection wiring, jumpers, and termination points on all eight
resistor stacks and verify all are properly secured.
C. Visually inspect gasketing around all access door openings before closing access
doors. In extreme cold climates, this gasket and all elastomeric compounds will
become stiff and brittle. Extra care is required to ensure gaskets and compounds are
not stressed or damaged. See step #7.
2. Inspect the Load Bank to ensure that all access doors are in place and all 1/4 turn latches are
secure.
