240 Volt AC Mains Hook-Up (Continued)

Operation of Mains Hook-Up

take place:

In order to connect the Mains Hook-Up the following should

Ensure vehicle RCD is in the "OFF" position

Ensure all appliances are in the "OFF" position and no appliance is connected to the 13

amp socket.

Connect mains hook-up connector to the caravan inlet.

Connect plug to site supply socket outlet.

Switch site supply "ON".

(If

switch fitted).

Operation of RCD With mains hook-up connected the following actions must take place:

Switch the main RCD 'ON', (which is in the UP position).

Press the test button (located adjacent to RCD switch). This should cause main switch to

trip.

Return main switch to 'ON' position.

Switch the 10 amp MCB (No 1) to the 'UP' position, (ON). This circuit controls the 13

amp sockets.

Switch the 5 amp MCB (No 2) to the 'UP' position, (ON). This circuit controls the water

heater, mains light, refrigerator and water heater fuse switch.

IMPORTANT: THE MAINS HOOK-UP LEAD SHOULD BE PERIODICALLY

CHECKED FOR DAMAGE.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ALTER OR TAMPER WITH ANY

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. CONTACT YOUR AUTO-SLEEPER DEALER FIRST.

IMPORTANT: USE OF GENERATORS.

BEFORE USING A GENERATOR WITH THIS VEHICLE YOU SHOULD READ THE

GENERATOR'S INSTRUCTION/OPERATION MANUAL FULLY, PAYING

PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE SAFETY AND EARTHING ARRANGEMENTS.

WATER SYSTEM

General

A 75litre (16.5 gallons) fresh water tank is fitted. A 60 litre (13.2 gallon)

waste water tank is also fitted as standard. The water system is fed by a triple

diaphragm water pump and non-toxic hosing is used throughout. The water tank filler is

found on the rear off-side of the vehicle.

Water Level Indicator

The illuminated water level indicator is fitted in the electrical

control panel and is operated by the press button adjacent to the gauge. A calibration knob

is found adjacent to the water level gauge.

Water Pump The water pump is self priming and incorporates its own pressure switch. It

is recommended that the water pump master switch be switched off when the vehicle

is travelling or unattended.

Please note that running dry the water pump will not blow

a fuse, but may seize the pump.

Water Filter The water filter is fitted adjacent to the water pump. This should be

checked periodically and cleaned as necessary.
