by an exterior trim panel) are Volks\-vagen factory fitted units. Both the double glazed
window over the cooker and the rear double glazed shower window together with the high
top double glazed windows are fitted during conversion.
b)
The lower sliding windows may be operated by first releasing the locking catch and then
sliding to the required position. An intermediate locking position is available, affording
ventilation with security.
c)
The rear shower window is held open by use of a ratchet. To close, open the window fully
- to release fully the ratchet mechanism - and apply the overcentre catches once the
window is closed.

THIS WINDOW MUST BE CLOSED, IN THE LOCKED POSITION,
WHILST THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN, OR THE ENGINE RUNNING WITH THE

The window over the cooker is also ratchet operated. The closing sequence is as explained
in 12c (above). For locking, the kitchen window should have its overcentre locks applied.

The roof windows are opened by releasing the two catches, moving gently, thus allowing
the window to hold, in an open position, on the ratchet assembly. In order to close the
window, it should first be fully opened, whereupon the ratchet will release allowing the '·
window to close. When in the closed position, the window should be locked by use of its
