Settings: Network, WAN port configuration
The WAN network port has a default setting of DHCP client. This means that the Authonet
firewall will request an IP address from the ISP's router.
In some cases the ISP will provide a modem which requires the router or firewall that is
connected to the modem to have a static IP. If the Authonet firewall is to be connected to a
modem then click the WAN settings button as shown in the figure.
When the settings
button is clicked, the
screen shown here will
be displayed. First
change the
STATIC/DHCP selector
to STATIC.
Next enter the IP
information provided by
the ISP, this will be
three parameters
Gateway IP
Customers IP
Netmask
Finally click the save
changes button and
reboot.
Click
‘settings’
button to set
WAN
parameters
