VMWI icon
This icon (Voice Message Warning Indicator) indicates that you have one or more new messages
in your voice mailbox (supplied by your network).

Alarm icon
This icon appears when you set an alarm to ring at a specified time (see chapter Alarm on
page 141 ).
Keypad lock
This icon appears when lock the keypad (see chapter Locking Keypad Handset on page 86 )
Using Menus
This phone offers a range of functions that allows you to tailor the phone to your needs. These func-
tions are arranged in menus and submenus.
There are two ways to access the menu mode: by scrolling or by quick access.
Accessing Menu by Scrolling
It's the one we use in the following:

Depending on the selected menu, you might find additional options to choose. In this case just use
the over stated commands when applicable referring on the description contained in the related par-
agraph.
MENU
In Standby mode, press the MENU soft key in
order to see the main menu items and scroll
them by using the navigation keys.
SELECT
Find the main menu item you need (for example
3.Setting), then confirm the selection with the
SELECT soft key.
SELECT
If the menu item you have selected contains
submenus or options, press repeatedly the nav-
igation keys to select the one you want (for
example 8.Dial Mode), then press the SELECT
soft key to enter in the submenu/option.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to find
the setting of your choice, then press the
SELECT soft key to save your selection.
