Handset Display
The display comprises the following three areas:
Meaning of the Main Icons
Signal strength icon
Is displayed at all times when your phone is on, and shows the current signal strength. The greater
the number of bars, the stronger the signal. When blinking, it indicates that no signal is received
from the base (see
chapter Out of Range Indication on page 86
Battery status icon
Is displayed at all times when your phone is on, and shows the level of your battery power (see
chapter Battery Checking and Handling on page 85
).
Line icon
When blinking, indicates an incoming call. When steady indicates that that the line is engaged (see
chapter Making a Call on page 93
chapter Receiving a Call on page 94
Speakerphone icon
Indicates that the handsfree function is enabled and you will hear your party's voice through the
loudspeaker on the back of the phone (see
chapter Using Speakerphone on page 95
Voice volume icon
Indicates the current voice volume level. The more waves (curved lines), the louder the volume (see
chapter Adjusting Voice Volume on page 94
Mute icon
Indicates that the microphone is temporarily muted during a conversation. In this condition you can
still hear the party, but he/she can't hear you (see
chapter Muting a Call on page 95
SMS icon
This icon indicates that you have one or more new messages (see
Icons area. For details see
chapter Meaning of the Main Icons on
.
Text and graphic area. It displays in use information such as the
other party´s number, call duration, menus, etc. In Standby
mode, it displays the handsetname (or the base and the handset
number) and the current time and date.
Indicates, time by time, the functions of the two soft keys
