Resetting the Handset or the Base
If you reset the handset or the base, all the user selectable features restores to the factory preset
initial settings: all the numbers in phonebook will be erased, as well as the incoming/outgoing call
lists etc. You can reset the handset without resetting the base or vice versa, it depends on the scope
you have. It is mainly useful for these purposes:

If you have made many wrong settings and you want to restore the handset to the factory preset
initial settings.

If the phone shows logical malfunctions (not correct symbols on the display, incorrect behaviour
etc.), the problem can be caused by an AC power supply noise or an electrostatic spike which
can temporarily alter the memory of the internal microprocessor. In this case the reset could
solve the problem.
To activate the reset:

Be careful! When you reset the handset you will loose any data stored in it (e.g. name and numbers
in phonebook). Don't forget to note them down before resetting the handset.
Resetting the base does not affect the handsets registered to the base.
MENU
Press the MENU soft key to display the main
menu items.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 4.Advanced, then press the SELECT
soft key.
SELECT
Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 2.Reset, then press the SELECT soft
key.
SELECT
Your phone asks you to choose between Hand-
set Reset (HS Reset) or Base Reset (BS
Reset). Press the navigation keys to choose
and confirm the selection by pressing the
SELECT soft key.

SELECT
Depending on the choose you did in step 3,
enter either the Handset PIN or the Base PIN
and press the SELECT soft key.
SELECT
The display prompts you to confirm the reset
with the message Confirm?
Press the SELECT soft key to confirm and
reset either the Handset or the Base.
To return to Standby mode, press the end/on/
off key.
