CD-ROM installation
FastFacts 2.3: CD-ROM installation
Operating software, some test signals, the online Help files and a printable user’s
guide are all on the Verifit CD-ROM supplied with the instrument.
The CD-ROM
must be present in the CD drive for normal instrument operation.
Operation
without the CD is possible but Speechmap tests, Sensory Loss Simulator, and
Help will not work. The CD drive door is located on the rear of the main display
unit below the external speaker jacks.
The door of the CD drive will open only
when power is first applied
. If necessary, to open the CD drive without power,
insert the end of a small screwdriver (or a paper clip) in the hole near the light on
the CD drive door.
1)
Set the power switch to the ON position. The power switch should light and the
display screen should become active.
2)
Press the OPEN button on the door of the CD drive. The door should open.
3)
Set the power switch to the OFF position.
4)
Position the Verifit CD-ROM on the spindle, printed side up, and press gently
downward until it snaps into place.
5)
Gently push the CD drive door inward until it snaps closed.
6)
Set the power switch to the ON position.
