No HIT reference mic. detected!
This message may be displayed when starting a hearing instrument test. It
indicates that the Verifit is not measuring any sound at the HIT reference
microphone. The HIT reference microphone is the white microphone located in the
test chamber.
v
Ensure that the HIT reference microphone is secure. Unplug the white HIT
reference microphone. Plug the microphone back in again, ensuring that it
‘clicks’ into place. Try the calibration procedure again.
v
Interchange the cables connecting the test chamber to the rear display unit.
v
Check the two 15 pin connectors on the rear of the test chamber. Look
carefully at the pins using an otoscope to make sure they are all the same
length and are not bent. If any have been pushed back into the connector, you
should contact Audioscan.
HIT speaker overdriven!
or
HIT right/left speaker overdriven!
The first message indicates that the left test chamber speaker is unable to
produce the SPL required for a test. The second message will appear during the
directional test if the right/left speaker is unable to produce the required SPL.
v
Check that the two cables running between the test chamber and the main unit
are securely connected.
v
Interchange the cables connecting the test chamber to the rear display unit.
