33. Configuring Security Settings

At the prompt, type 

tools ssh_key

 and press

SSH KEY MANAGEMENT

add         -- ADD: authorize new key 

del         -- DELETE: delete key authorization

ADD AUTHORIZED SSH KEY

Enter the name of the public key file that you transferred to the Active SC board 
and press

Enter public key filename ([id_rsa.pub]) : 

id_rsa.pub

The public key will be parsed and keys from it will be added to the authorized 
keys list. You will be informed on the progress of the operation.

Note: 

Authorized SSH keys, provisioned on the Active SC board, may also be used 

for connecting to the CLI interface on the Standy SC boards. The Mediant 8000  
software automatically replicates all required information between the Active and the 
Standby SC boards. Therefore there is no need to manually authorize SSH keys on 
the Standby SC board.
