The

Demo

tab is used to demonstrate the benefits of using Forward Error Correction. The IP Packet Drop provides

the option to force the encoder to simulate network traffic by dropping random packets on the Ethernet interface,

allowing the decoder to use FEC to recover the lost packets. FEC should be enabled when running this test.

Enabling or disabling FEC can be found under the

Session tab (page 40)

. Refer to
