The motorised multi-point lock 519N offers

· panic door function in accordance with DIN EN 1125 possible,
· panic function E (knob outside) (“Panic function E (reversing function)”, page 41),
· suitable for fire doors (proof by fire testing in accordance with DIN EN 1634-1),
· deadbolt counterforce of 6,000 N,
· lateral deadbolt resistance of 20,000 N.
Escape door function/emergency exit and panic door locks
In general: A door with escape door function can always be opened with the door handle from the inside,
even if it is locked.
Escape doors are equipped with
· emergency exit locks in accordance with DIN EN 179
· panic door locks in accordance with DIN EN 1125
Panic doors are subject to somewhat more stringent requirements than emergency exit doors. Panic door
locks in accordance with DIN EN 1125 are equipped with a panic push bar or panic touch bar (panic bar)
across the width of the door leaf. Emergency exit door locks in accordance with DIN EN 179 are equipped
with a door handle.
Product versions
The
motorised multi-point lock 519N
is only designed in panic function E (reversing function) version.
Panic function E (reversing function)
With panic function E (reversing function), the door is equipped with a front door fitting. There is a knob
for opening against the escape direction (normally from outside). For this function, the locking cylinder is
designed for manual unlocking from outside.
Actuating the locking cylinder mechanically retracts the deadbolt and releases the latch bolt. The door
can now be used.
The bolts automatically extend when the doors are closed. The door is then locked again (“Self-locking”,
page 50).
