4.2.7 Programming of connection type
• If you have a Care Phone GSM, you can choose how the phone number you provided
is to be called, i.e. done via the analogue line or via GSM. (See table in Appendix A.)
• Follow the instructions below to change:
• Choose the desired connection type by pressing

• Repeat the procedure for Number B, C etc. For each phone number entered in section
4.2.2, a connection type must be specified. (Tele line is pre-programmed by default.)

to exit the menu "Connection
4.2.8 GSM settings
To be able to send alarms via GSM and/or GPRS some settings need to be made.
NB! If these settings are made and saved in the HT-III, these settings will be
transferred to every Careline GSM programmed using this HT-III.
• Choose "SIM lock", press Yes.
• Choose if the SIM lock should be activated or not by using and . (The SIM lock means
that you have a PIN code activated on your SIM card to increase security.)
• Press Yes to accept.
• If you chose to activate the SIM lock, choose "PIN code" and press Yes.
• Enter the PIN code for the SIM card (note that the PIN must be have been set before,
the Care Phone cannot do this)
• Press Yes to accept.
• Press No once to go back to the "GSM functions" menu.
• If alarms are to be sent via GPRS you need to make some extra settings:

Choose "APN", press Yes.

Type the APN address. It can be numeric or in letters. Maximum 48 characters.
