Rack Mount Server

Install OS which is compatible to the following rpm. Supported OS version and Kernel version
are part of the rpm name.

Note:

PLX vNIC

driver is proprietary to PLX and sources cannot be shared. Due to this restriction,

vNIC

driver will be compiled and distributed based on RMS OS/Kernel.

For example

sspromini-pcieutils-centos7.2-3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64-

1.1.0.x86_64.rpm

This rpm is applicable to

OS: centOS7.2 and Kernel version:

3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64

Once OS with Kernel is installed, install the rpm using the following command.

rpm –iUvh sspromini-pcieutils-<os_version-kernel_version-

pkg_version>.rpm

Once installation is completed and rebooted the

PLX vNIC

drivers are loaded automatically.
