Hardware Preparation and Installation

This chapter provides information on unpacking and inspecting the card procedures and safety
precautions to be followed while handling the card. The environmental, thermal, power
requirements, installation, and removal procedures of the card are also explained in this
chapter.

2.1

Unpacking and Inspecting Card

Shipment Inspection

To inspect the shipment, perform the following steps:

1. Verify that you have received all items of your shipment:



One SharpStreamer™ Pro Mini PCIE-7210-1 card.



One printed copy of

Quick Start Guide.



One printed copy of

Safety Notes Summary.



Any optional items ordered.

2. Check your shipment and report any damage or differences to the Contact Center

at

Damage of Circuits
Electrostatic discharge and incorrect installation and removal of the card can damage
circuits or shorten their life.

Make sure that you are working in an ESD-safe environment, before touching the card
or electronic components.
