2.2 Preparation for Measurement

2.2.1 Recommendations for Patients

It is important to provide this guidance to your patients before taking a
measurement with SillHa Oral Wellness System.

•

Do not

drink, eat or brush your teeth for two hours before measurement for

best results.

• The oral rinse solution is purified water and should not be swallowed.

2.2.2 Items Required to Perform Test

These items are required to perform the test:
1. SillHa paper (test strip)

3. Dropper

5. Oral rinse solution

2. Personal protective equipment 4. Cup

(purified water)

NOTE:

•

Perform this salivary testing only for individuals who can rinse their mouth
with oral rinse solution lightly for approximately 10 seconds, and spit into a
cup.

CAUTIONS:

Do not

touch the area where the test strip holder moves to prevent

personal injury.

Do not

place anything within 3 inches

from the left and right sides of the
instrument to allow the test strip
holder to move properly.
