SLIDING GATES
FixIng the plates and the Ramps for limit switch
2.5
The actuator has a bi-directional electromechanical limit
switch with a spring rod. The limit switch is tripped by two
metal "ramps" that must be fi tted on the rack in such a way
as to engage the limit switch rod when the gate is near the
fully open and fully closed positions.
The
•
ramps must be secured by screws on the relevant
plates (to be welded on the rack) with adjusting slots.
Warning
!
To avoid crushing risk, do not use the mechanical
gate stops as a gate stroke limit. Fix the plates so that
between the limit switch stops and the mechanical
stops will always remain the safety margin required
by current Safety Regulations.
NOTE: to facilitate the installation and adjustment of the limit
switch actionings, the operator must be released (see Par.
Emergency operations).
Move the gate to the
•
CLOSE position (5 cm from the
mechanical stop) to place the fi rst ramp in a manner as to
trip the fi rst limit switch (
Fig.6-ref.1
), then fi x it on the rack.
Move the gate to the desired
•
OPEN position (respecting
the safety margin from the mechanical end stop). Position
the second ramp in a manner as to trip the fi rst limit switch
(
Fig.6-ref.2
), then fi x it on the rack.
Move the gate to an
•
intermediate position (neither limit
switch must be engaged) and re-lock the actuator. Slide
the gate a little in one direction until you hear a coupling
click.
