If an electric component does not work or
works irregularly, or if the vehicle fails to
start, it is necessary to check the fuses.
Your vehicle is equipped with two group
of fuses:
– the 15A secondary fuses group (1)
placed on the right side of the fairing, see
page 125 (ARRANGEMENT OF 15A
AUXILIARY FUSES);
– the 30A main fuses group (2) placed
under the rider saddle, see page 125
( A R R A N G E M E N T O F 3 0 A M A I N
FUSES).
NOTE
Check the fuses in the order:
– first the fuses of the 15A secondary
fuses group (1);
– second the fuses of the 30A main fuses
group (2).
To check the fuses of the secondary fuses
group (1):
u
Set the ignition switch to "
". This will
prevent accidental short circuits.
u
Take off the cover of the auxiliary fuse
box (1).
u
Extract all fuses one by one and check
f o r b l o w n f u s e s . A b l o w n f u s e i s
identified by the filament (2) in the centre
being broken.
u
When you find a blown fuse, determine
and rectify the cause (if possible) before
fitting a new fuse.
u
Replace any failed fuses with a fuse of
equal current rating.
NOTE
When you use one of the spare
fuses, remember to add a new fuse of
equal rating to the fuse box.
u
Remove the rider saddle, see page 111
(REMOVING THE RIDER SADDLE).
u
Repeat the process for the main fuses.

W h e n t h e 3 0 - A f u s e s a r e
removed, the digital clock and red line
setting will be reset to zero.
