The slider turns OFF and the status is updated:
7. Remove the Standby Controller in the upper slot. For instructions, see Remove the
Secondary Controller on page 78.
Power down the chassis
It is recommended that you regularly back up all system settings and user data. Before
removing and replacing power supplies and controllers, though, it is recommended that
you first back up current settings.
1. Turn all power OFF to the chassis by removing power cords (from all AC power
supplies) or by disconnecting the DC terminal cable (for DC power supplies).
2. After the chassis powers down, plug the power cables into all power supplies in the
chassis to turn power ON.
3. Observe the LEDs on the Primary Controller (in the lower slot in the chassis). After the
green LED displays as a solid state (power on), it begins flashing while the amber LED
stays solidly lit.
4. In an error state, a controller status LED may display as:
• Solid green , no amber
• Solid green , flashing amber
• Flashing green , no amber
5. Immediately proceed to the next section to reset the primary controller.
Reset the Primary Controller
Remember that this procedure erases all settings on the controller. It is recommended
that you first back up all system settings and user data.
NOTE
If the green status LED is not lit at all, this system recovery process will not work.
