To verify whether a blade is supported in an I

XR chassis, check the blade
revision number. This is identified by a revision sticker located on the right side at the front
of the blade, as shown here:

XR chassis support the following transceivers modules:
• Full-duplex 100 Mbps/1 Gbps Copper (supported only on ACI-3030-E36-6 and
ACI-3030-E32-7 blades)
• 1000BASE-LX or 1000BASE-SX 1G Ethernet
• 10GBASE-LR or 10GBASE-SR 10G Ethernet
• 40GBASE-LR or 40GBase-SR 40G Ethernet
Line rates vary by ports on the blade (see the User Manual for each blade for details).
• 40G QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceivers:
• APCON P/N ACI-0240-195-R
• APCON P/N ACI-0240-196-R
• APCON P/N
ACI-0240-197-R , a bidirectional (BiDi) transceiver
• 1/10G SFP+ (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceivers:
• ACI-0201-199-R
• ACI-0201-200-R
Before you install 1G/10G SFP optics, first check that the blade is capable of using such
transceivers. By default, the 1G/10G SFPs are set to a port rate of 10G. Multi-Rate
1G/10G SFPs offer user-selectable rates. See the

Characteristics of SFP+ and QSFP+ transceivers

XR chassis supports 1G or 10G Single-rate Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP+)
transceiver modules and dual-rate SFPs. 40G Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP+)
transceivers are also supported.
NOTE
Transceivers shipped in APCON products are Class 1 laser products. Manufacturer
specifications state that these transceivers comply with regulations and are certified
to meet the Class 1 eye safety requirements of EN (IEC) 60825 and electrical safety
requirements of EN (IEC) 60950.
