3. Using the extended paper clip, press and hold the pinhole reset button on the
Secondary Controller.
4. Continue to press and hold the extended paper clip into the pinhole reset button until
the status LED lights stop flashing.
5. Release the pinhole reset button and remove the paper clip.
6. The Secondary Controller reboots. When it is fully recovered, the green and amber
Status LEDs should both be flashing in sync with each other.

XR and restore settings
After you restart the Primary and Secondary Controllers, follow these steps:
♦ To complete the recovery process:
1. Log into W
EB
XR .
Because all settings have been wiped from the controller, you must log in using the
default settings.
• User name:
admin
• Password:
secret
It is recommended that you reset the
admin
password as soon as possible. Refer to
your organization’s policies about requirements to change passwords.
2. Restore settings from back-up files or recreate any settings you want to use on that
chassis.

XR User Manual for information about how to configure the chassis and
restore user and data settings.
Software updates
Software upgrade releases include the latest improvements for controllers, the backplane,
and blades.
IMPORTANT
Before you begin, it is recommended that you first back up both configuration settings
and user data before performing any software upgrade.
