LOGIX INTEGRATION
The Hart4 modules can be easily integrated with Allen-Bradley Logix family of controllers. The
module must be added using a Generic Profile which is described below.

The HART 4 module must be added to the RSLogix 5000 I/O tree as a generic Ethernet module.
This is achieved by right clicking on the Ethernet Bridge in the RSLogix 5000 and selecting
New
Module
after which the
ETHERNET-MODULE
is selected to be added as shown in the figure
below.
NOTE: See the next section for importing the configuration (L5X).

NOTE:
The module configuration for the HART 4In and HART 4Out modules are
not identical.
The user must enter the IP address of the HART 4 module that will be used. The assembly
instance and size must also be added for the input, output, and configuration in the
connection parameters section. The required connection parameters for the HART 4In
module are shown below:
