Instrument Installation

Site Requirements

To install and operate the

ANKOM

200

Fiber Analyzer you will need the following:

Adjustable wrench

Water supply and

capability of heating water to 50°C for Crude Fiber and 70°C for ADF/NDF analyses

Adequate power (see “Operating Environment” section)

Drain

Instrument Installation Procedure

To install the ANKOM

200

Fiber Analyzer, follow the procedure detailed below.

1.

Remove the instrument from the shipping container and place it in an area that is within six feet of a drain and on a
surface that is firm and level. The instrument must not be subject to excessive shock, vibration, dirt, moisture, oil,
or other fluids.

IMPORTANT:

Do NOT place this instrument near microwave ovens or mechanical devices.

Your instrument comes complete with an Exhaust Hose, a Power Cord, and a Bag Suspender Assembly (including
Bag Suspender Trays and a Bag Suspender Weight).

The Bag Suspender has a total of nine trays. Eight of the trays hold up to three filter bags per tray. The ninth tray is
used as a cover. The weight is used to keep all of the trays together as the Bag Suspender moves up and down inside
the Vessel during operation.

2.

Connect and secure the Exhaust Hose so that it will not move when hot pressurized fluid is exhausted.

3.

With the Power Switch in the OFF position, plug the Power Cord into the Power Cord Inlet on the right side of the

instrument (when looking at the front).

4.

Plug the Power Cord into the power source.
