Advanced Administration
(1) Once an IR protocol has been learned for a specific
port it can simply be copied across to other ports
using the tftp application and the network port.
(2) Firstly you must GET the IR file from the Receiver via
the hub. IR files all start with an
I and use a file
extension to indicate number. These could therefore
take the form isonymode1.001, IRtable.001 etc
(3) At the command prompt use the following command.
tftp –I [IP address of hub] GET irtable.001
Note;
Where irtable is the user defined name given to the IR
code on port 1 and where the .001 file extension relates
to the port number.
(4) To upgrade further ports simply rename the file
extension and post it back to the hub. For example
to update the IR table for port 3;
tftp –I 192.168.0.96 PUT irtable.003
Note;
The same command structure and method is used to
copy and paste serial commands between ports. In this
instance the filename will begin with the letter S.
7.5 Upgrading Input Controllers
Note;
Input Controllers are numbered .001 to .004 and
identified by the letter
u before the filename.
(1) Run the tftp client.
(2) Start a command session on the PC. Change to the
directory where the .ROM files are stored on the PC
eg
cd\hub .
(3) Type in the following command at the prompt
observing the parameters below;
tftp –i [IP address] PUT u[filename].[portnumber]
(4) For example typing in tftp –i 192.168.0.96 PUT
ufilename.001 will upload the Input controller file to
Input 1 on the UDM hub with IP address
192.168.0.96. Push Enter to execute the command.
