k) The audiometer may then be used to carry out a new test using the same patient details while retaining
the previous threshold values, e.g. for categorisation purposes (Section 5)

The new test would then normally be saved in the internal database as a new record for that patient (use
the ‘Save test’ softkey)
Notes
If the
today’s date is entered at step i) the record will be simply saved in the database as a new record
with today’s date and the data will NOT transfer to the Previous column
If incorrect data has been entered at step g) then the record may be erased using the database
functions (see Section 10.4.8) and the above steps may be repeated
The re-test at step k) may be carried out as described in Section 5, and all modes of testing may be
used (Computer, Bekesy, Mixed, Manual, or Single Frequency). The test may be cancelled or
repeated as necessary, but do not use the ‘Erase’ softkey before saving the re-test (unless the re-test
data is not required).
The previous data saved at step j) is always retained in the database, so if any difficulties occur with
the re-test process as described above the previous data may be loaded and a re-test carried out as
described below in Section 10.5.
