The mains adapter is the mains disconnect device and therefore the audiometer should be positioned such
that easy access to the mains adapter is possible.

For connected parts marked * only connect the accessories supplied with the
instrument or supplied by Amplivox or an Amplivox distributor. These parts have been
tested for use with the CA850 Audiometer for compliance with the standards IEC 60601-
1 and IEC 60601-1-2. The use of accessories other than those specified may
compromise compliance with these standards. For other sockets refer to Appendix 3.

DATA TRANSFER TO A PRINTER OR USB DEVICE
Please refer to Appendix 3 for important information regarding the
connection of non-medical electrical equipment to medical electrical
equipment
The audiometer can be used with a designated printer (see Section 17) to provide a hard copy of the
audiometric test data. The USB PRINTER socket is used for this function. See Sections 9.4.3 and 10.4.3 for
further details.
