AUDIOMETER OPERATING MODES
The CA850 Audiometer has three operating modes, TEST, DATABASE and SETUP. Select one of these
modes by pressing the appropriate key at the left hand side of the display. The indicator above the key will
illuminate green. In order to perform an audiometric test, the CA850 Audiometer must be in the TEST mode.
When first powered-up the audiometer enters TEST mode and displays the Audiogram page (see Section
9.3). This is to allow the operator to perform the checks necessary to confirm that the audiometer is operating
correctly prior to carrying out tests on a patient.
When TEST mode is selected at any subsequent time the Patient details page (see Section 9.2) is displayed
in anticipation of the requirement to enter patient-specific data prior to performing a test on that patient.
The following sections describe these operating modes and the function of controls.
