AMIBIOS and WINBIOS

WINBIOS Setup has a graphical user interface that permits mouse access, and is so compact that it can reside on the same
ROM as the system BIOS. The system configuration parameters are set via WINBIOS Setup. Since WINBIOS Setup resides
in the ROM BIOS, it is available each time the computer is turned on. The main menu screen look like this:

WINBIOS Setup consists of the following groups:

• Standard Setup
• Advanced Setup
• Chipset Setup
• Power Management Setup
• Peripheral Setup

The default setting for the Setup option is Optimal. The Optimal default settings are best-case values that should optimize
system performance. If CMOS RAM is corrupted, the Optimal settings are loaded automatically.
